Living Room is a neighborhood place in Mount Pleasant to drop in, hang out, and make art. It’s a warm, low-pressure place where making art is optional but always welcome.
We offer open drop-in hours as well as workshops and events, all centered around creativity, connection, and ease.
-
During drop-in hours, you’re welcome to make art using materials from our art library, work on something personal, connect with others, or simply spend time in the space. You can arrive with a plan or see what emerges. We’re happy to offer light guidance if you’d like. We will also host workshops, events, and gatherings. We’ve started adding events to our Eventbrite.
-
Nope! Living Room is for everyone — whether you’re just curious, haven’t made art in years, or make daily. The space is designed to be low-pressure and inclusive, so you can show up exactly as you are.
-
We’ll offer drop-in visits, and your visit fee includes access to the space and art materials. Specific pricing and membership options will be announced as we get closer to opening and will be designed to support flexible access for all.
-
Your visit includes access to the space, our art library, and a well-stocked set of shared supplies (like collage materials, drawing tools, and watercolor basics) to get you started.
You’re welcome to bring your own materials if you like. We’ll also have free coffee and tea with entry, and a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available for purchase.
-
Accessibility is important to us. Living Room is located on the second floor and is currently accessible only by stairs. Inside the space, we’re committed to creating a welcoming environment with clear pathways, a variety of seating options, and flexibility for different comfort and mobility needs.
As we finalize operations, we’ll share more detailed access information (including bathroom access and any accommodations we’re able to offer). If you have specific questions or needs ahead of your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to talk it through
