SALON
art & creativity
in the era of a.i.
Join MISSED CONNECTIONS, a series to get people offline and into community, for a salon on art and creativity in the era of A.I. We’ll start with a creative activity, facilitated by Living Room, followed by a moderated group discussion exploring the following questions:
What are the most inimitable, sacred, and human parts of creating art? What can benefit from evolving alongside technology?
What’s the difference between art and content?
Can A.I. replicate the role of the subconscious, spontaneous, and the subliminal in the creative experience?
Will A.I. democratize art?
Should algorithms facilitate taste?
All voices are welcome. Whether you consider yourself an artist or just find yourself moved by it; if the creator economy has given you transformative opportunities or if you’ve kept your art completely offline—this is an open conversation for anyone interesting in dissecting technology’s impact on art and humanity.
Price: $15
About your facilitators
“Missed connections” forums used to be a way of using technology to recover connections that would’ve otherwise been lost. Now, technology, for all its convenience, is causing us to miss out on the everyday, serendipitous interactions that make life meaningful.
MISSED CONNECTIONS is a project to resist the growing commercialization of community & reclaim a sense of belonging and place for younger generations. We host free, creative gatherings at public spaces, alongside curated thought leadership events examining how technology is impacting the deepest parts of the human experience. It will be co-hosted by Winter & Kanika.
