Do you have a loose button? What about a small tear? Or a favorite piece you keep meaning to fix? Bring it to Mending Night. Spend the evening working on your own clothing or textiles in good company, with informal guidance and shared supplies to help you get started.

This is a relaxed, self-directed gathering, so there’s no set project and no experience needed. You can make a repair as subtle or as visible as you like.

Basic materials provided: Bring an item or items to mend. Living Room will provide needles, thread, buttons, and fabric scraps. If your repair needs a specific material or matching thread, please bring that along.

Price: $20 (Due to limited capacity, event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.)

About your hosts

Megan King (sher/her) is the artist/owner of Pathwork Studio,, a creative reuse studio that transforms discarded textiles into one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories. She believes reinvention is a powerful tool. By learning to reuse, mend, and reimagine what already exists, we can create a more sustainable—and far more interesting—approach to fashion. Megan is an active member of the DC creative community, serving as a designer and volunteer for the reFashion Show and as a DC Maker's Guild board member.
