Chat, ink, stitch, collage, sit quietly. All energy levels welcome!

Bring your own project and/or partake in QACC community projects. No high-odor projects, please. No prior art experience necessary.

Some materials provided: Queer As Craft Club will provide some basic supplies. You’re welcome to bring additional materials. Anokhi will be bringing some collage supplies and trinkets/things she’s collected to share!

Price: $15 (Due to limited capacity, event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.)

About your hosts

Anokhi Shah (she/her) is a D.C.-based mixed media artist. Her artwork is deeply entwined with her activism and explores identity, societal consciousness, truth, and injustice. She amplifies the voices of people who have survived systemic oppression, personal trauma, and genocide by creating environments where art can be created and shared freely. Art is her personal therapy; she encourages others to create using whatever materials make them feel most connected to themselves and society.

Jen Pape (they/them) is a DC and Baltimore-based artist exploring how abstract components of our identifications may take mental, emotional, and physical form. Their work questions how our thoughts, words, and actions can reflect our connective consciousness.
