About your host
Starting all work from the belief that creation is the best balm to living in unprecedented times, Miriam Julianna (she/her) is a multimedia social practice artist who entwines community with the reclamation of materials and stories. She seeks to reflect back to the viewer the indelible spark of humanity that we universally share. Her crane folding/storytelling project "for Eon" is inspired by the Shinto practice of senbazuru and done in memory of the first person she loved who was openly queer- Eon Harris Schroeder.
