New Moon Collage Hang (Sold out)

THEME NIGHT

new moon collage hang (sold out)

Join us for a monthly gathering for people who love collage and all its cousins: junk journals, zines, paper scraps, found images, glue sticks, tiny scissors. Come cut & paste with other paper people.

The new moon is often associated with new beginnings, making it the perfect time to gather, reflect, manifest and create a piece of art for the upcoming month. This moon cycle carries themes of energy of harvest, trust, and routine as we start to move from summer to fall.

Basic materials provided: Living Room will provide glue sticks, scissors, and a shared selection of paper scraps. You’re welcome to bring additional materials.

Price: $15 (Due to limited capacity, event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.)

Want access to more supplies? Add Art Library access for $10 at checkout to use our shared collection of collage, watercolor, beading, drawing, fabric, and other creative materials.

About your hosts

Ray Orr (she/they) is a queer collage artist and co-founder of Living Room. She loves to collage solo or with friends. Their goal is to create intentional spaces where people can connect through low-stakes art-making.

Reese Hammond (she/her) is a DC-based collage artist and part-time steward at Living Room. She discovered collaging while processing grief and big transitions, and finds healing through the art of expression. Her goal is to create the same space of expression for others.
