In this workshop, we'll cover the process of turning a design or sketch into a single-color block print. Attendees will carve a block of linoleum, ink it up, and print it to take home. Designs will be provided for you to work from, or you can work from a simple sketch of your own!

About your facilitator

Holly Harris is an oil painter and printmaker based in Washington, D.C. She developed a love of linocut relief printing in college, and uses the medium to articulate her thoughts and experiences. Her work can be found in flat-files and exhibitions across D.C., showing with institutions like Transformer, Shop Made in DC, Touchstone Gallery, and Washington Project for the Arts.
