Feeling together: a parent-child creative experience

WORKSHOP

feeling together: a parent-child creative experience

Join Licensed Professional Counselor and artist Unique Jordan for a collaborative collage workshop designed for children ages 8–12 and their parent or caregiver. Families will bring in old artwork and creative projects their child has made over the years and transform them into a new piece together through storytelling, reflection, and connection. Co-facilitated with Unique’s 10-year-old daughter, who is also an artist,  this workshop encourages meaningful conversation, emotional expression, and connection through the art-making process. Participants will leave with a collaborative collage and a deeper appreciation for the creative journey they've shared.

Price: $75 total for the parent/adult & child pair

About your facilitator

Unique Jordan is a Licensed Professional Counselor, art dealer, and founder of A Unique Perspective LLC. With over a decade of clinical experience, her work focuses on trauma-informed care, inner child healing, emotional awareness, and helping individuals build healthier relationships through therapy, reflection, and community-centered healing.

Her Virginia-based practice was intentionally created to provide culturally responsive mental health care for the African American community while addressing intergenerational trauma, identity, boundaries, and authenticity. Beyond therapy, she integrates art, storytelling, and community engagement to create spaces that normalize mental health conversations and support meaningful healing and self-discovery.
